Jorge Masvidal Expects Gilbert Burns To Resort To “Crotch Sniffing” At UFC 287

In anticipation of Saturday’s pay-per-view event at the Miami-Dade arena in Florida, there has been significant attention given to the highly anticipated championship rematch between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya.

Meanwhile, UFC welterweight standout Jorge Masvidal has expressed skepticism about Gilbert Burns‘ supposed readiness to engage in stand-up fighting during their upcoming bout.

The co-main event also manages to capture a significant amount of intrigue, despite falling slightly behind the main event in terms of excitement.

The upcoming headlining fight on April 8th will feature 170-pound fighters Masvidal and Burns. Masvidal will be looking to bounce back after a three-fight losing streak and put on a strong performance for his hometown fans. However, he will be facing a tough challenge in Burns, who solidified his position in the top five rankings with a dominant submission win over Neil Magny earlier this year.

Despite Burns’ impressive Brazilian jiu-jitsu skills and grappling abilities, some believe that Masvidal may struggle to match up against him. Nevertheless, leading up to UFC 287, Burns has hinted at the possibility of a standup brawl. He has even expressed a desire to win over the Miami crowd and steal their support from Masvidal, who currently holds the title of “BMF” (Baddest Motherf***er).
