Watch: Luke Rockhold puts Mike Perry in Choke during fired up face off!

Luke Rockhold   is scheduled to participate in his first Bare Knuckle FC fight against Mike Perry in the headline event of BKFC 41 this weekend. The fight card also features several ex-UFC fighters, such as Chad Mendes and Eddie Alvarez, who will compete in the co-main event. Yesterday’s pre-fight press conference saw an animated face-off between Rockhold and Perry, who are both distinct personalities in the MMA world. During the face-off, the two individuals made motions as if they were going to punch each other, but never actually did. They also engaged in hand-to-hand combat. After the face-off was over, Perry turned around to leave the stage, leaving his back exposed. Rockhold then jokingly put Perry in a chokehold from behind, causing concern among officials from the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Watch Video:

Paulo Costa agrees to new four-fight UFC deal

The UFC middleweight contender announced Wednesday in an interview with   PVT   that he has agreed to a new four-fight UFC deal. Costa has complained for months about his pay, which he referred as “ridiculous” and an “unfair” purse. He said he realized that “only saying ‘yes’ [to the UFC] wasn’t working.” Now managed by his girlfriend Tamara Alves, Costa said he has finally reached a number that convinced him to re-sign. “I haven’t signed the contract yet but we have reached a deal with the UFC regarding the pay,” Costa said. “It wasn’t easy, there was a lot of hard work, and I have to highlight Tamara’s brilliant work here.” Costa said he’s currently in talks with the UFC regarding his next bou. According to Costa, the UFC approached him with an offer to face Sean Strickland in May, or face Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 294, which takes place in Abu Dhabi on Oct. 21.

  Daniel Rodriguez has told of how Kevin Holland made sure he was taken care of before Holland accepted a bout with  Khamzat Chimaev . Rodriguez and Holland were originally set to fight each other at  UFC  279. Khamzat Chimaev weighing in at 178.5 lbs set off a turn of events that saw Holland bumped up to the co-main event. This left Daniel Rodriguez without an opponent until China’s Li Jingliang stepped up to the plate. Rodriguez scored a  controversial decision  win over the welterweight, with many believing Jingliang to be the rightful victor. Daniel Rodriguez appeared on  the MMA Hour  to give his thoughts on the weekend’s affairs. He made a special point of crediting original opponent “Big Mouth” Kevin Holland.
