Jake Paul promises to destroy Hasim Rahman Jr and his legacy
A press conference for their upcoming fight at Madison
Square Garden in New York City was held on Tuesday, three weeks before Jake
Paul and Hasim Rahman Jr. exchanged sharp words.
Expert boxer Paul of YouTube is 5-0 and has knocked out every opponent he
has faced, including former UFC champion
Tyron Woodley. Rahman Jr., on the other hand, is the son of Lennox Lewis’ 2001
knockout victim Hasim Rahman, a former sparring partner of Paul’s.
After Tommy Fury pulled out of their scheduled fight on August 6, Rahman
Jr, 31, is prepared to take on 25-year-old Paul. Fury, the half-brother of heavyweight
champion Tyson, also withdrew from a fight in December against Paul.
Rahman Jr. questioned Paul, “Did you put the footage out when you ran away
from me in the ring? ” during their argument at the press conference on
Tuesday. You went around again. Why, as a content creator, didn’t you publish
that?
You have never faced a boxer, and this will be your first defeat. I’ll be
using both hands; when I sparred with you, I just used one hand. He is not
proficient enough to even spar with one hand. I can assure you that he fled
from me after turning around.
As payback, Paul spoke to Hasim Rahman, who was seated next to his kid.
Paul said, “It’s me versus your son.” “His biggest error is believing he
is you. I’m putting an end to your family’s entire legacy. It’s done now.
He will be assaulted by a singer, a sea shell collector, a Disney boy, and
myself, because I am all of these things. I have knocked out everyone I’ve
faced, you [Rahman Jr.] seem foolish. You are a pawn and just another name on
the list.
“People tell you to challenge a real boxer. I’m about to demonstrate to
the young people out there that you can achieve everything you set your mind
to.
“Let’s place a wager now. You have to change your Instagram name to “I let
my dad down” once I beat you. The handle is already here. Change your handle
when I defeat you; if I fall short, you get to choose what I change mine to.
